About Me.

I’m a Ghanaian-American physician, cartoonist, and author who grew up in Chicago, Illinois, Hot Springs, Arkansas and The Woodlands, Texas. When I’m not in the hospital (and let’s be honest, even when I’m in it), I can be found drawing comics, writing stories on my phone, and obsessing over my three cats. I currently live in Chicago, where I am completing my cardiology fellowship. Check out my monthly column in the

 Frequently Asked Questions

  • How do you have time to be a medical trainee and also draw comics?

I use art to cope, and so it’s not so much that I find time than it is that I make time. I also tend to draw in my idle time, like when I’m watching a movie.

  • It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
